The results may not be bad, but they will be different from what the original production team and actors intended. Dubs, unless they try to very slavishly adhere to the original voices, will change those. Dialogue isn't just about conveying information, it's also about conveying emotions and character. Why would you replace them with something else? You wouldn't watch a live action movie dubbed, or claim that the vocal performances of the actors are unimportant. The actors were chosen and supervised by the work's original production team. The performances of the voice actors are an important part of the work, not just some optional thing that can be replaced at will. This movie, right here, is one example that some things never have to be rationed out that every time you crave something, that meal will indeed fill and exceed your expectations no matter how many times you reach out for it.The answer is always subbed, unless you're dyslexic or a child. But some things, some things pull you into their wavelength with uncanny ease. I'm so so so so glad that is around to make media like this free and public.Įvery time I watch this movie I think I'm too jaded to cry when One Summer's Day comes on, but I cry all the same every time.Įspecially with music, whenever I come across something I love dearly, I'll listen to it for 30 mins straight, maybe two hours even on repeat, but'll ration out the listens to it afterwards cuz I'm afraid it'll lose it's luster with every listen. Captivated n pulled in along for the ride. No other movie is able to give me the exact same experience as I had the first time, no matter what mood I'm in. Movie-wise this is S tier along w Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Lost in translation, and Human Traffic (a soft spot as I'm a dj).
